The potential for engineering applications to effectively reach poor, rural populations is immense given this substantial baseline of technology use. These phone owners possess for the first time a small amount of digital data storage, some processing power, and network connectivity. In this talk I will argue against the notion that technologies impact society unidirectionally and will emphasize instead the creative role of users in making these devices useful and relevant within their own particular cultural context. A particular case is the successful repurposing of the phone to facilitate money transfers. This was accomplished by sending air-time codes via text message. In this way users have extended and improved the utility of the mobile phone. The local logic of money transfer is part of broader efforts to cope with resource-constraints and reflects a low-cost, lightweight solution for daily living, insurance, survival, and risk management. Engineering efforts that recognize and build upon the momentum of existing technology use have the potential to be far more efficient with resources and more broadly influential and more in tune with the interests of potential users than those that seek to introduce entirely novel devices and systems.

Future plans include replacing the multi-slot adapter with a usb hub as the only slot i use is the Mini-SD slot and i have a usb adapter for that anyway. Input devices for this setup will include 2 remotes (both separately programmable on a per-application basis), wii controller, xbox controller, ps2 controller, and bluetooth keyboard and mouse (Logitech mx5500 Revolution). Since this will be a media center setup, volume is a major concern, so the 750 watt power supply i have ordered has a 120mm fan internal and keeps airflow at a maximum with minimum noise. The Power supply has 2 sata and 4 molex connectors so using adapters will be necessary. A previous video i mentioned i was going to install an IDE burner. This turned out to be false, mainly because i got rid of it and forgot. Ebay turned up an esata to sata cable with sufficient length to reach the burner. The display in this video is the IMON by Soundgraph. Hard drives pictured will be installed in a raid 10 (1+0) which is completely for data redundancy as this will also be network storage for important documents. This is my 3ds that i bought 2 or 3 months ago. I also baught the R4 SDHC dual core, from amazon. Back when the 3ds version was 1.0.0 or something like that the default version. It was all good for a while until i updated the version to 2.1.0-4u. Then as you can see in the video the R4 does not work. So i found out that i need to up date the R4. the real problem is i don't know where to get the firmware and kernel from. The first time i got lucky and it worked but know i dont know what to do. can anyone give me a link or something to the firmware and kernel. i already tryed r4i sdhc dual core.com. the website that sells these kind of R4s. but it did not work. Can anyone help? O and sorry if the video was not great it is my first video.

Such information is useful for many forensic purposes including establishment of prior connection activity and services used; identification of other systems present on the system's LAN or WLAN; geolocation of the host computer system; and cross-drive analysis. We show that network structures can also be recovered from memory that is persisted onto a mass storage medium during the course of system swapping or hibernation.We present our network carving techniques, algorithms and tools, and validate these against both purpose-built memory images and a readily available forensic corpora.
