Legit Reviews looked at the GoFlex Satellite from Seagate. This very innovative product combines a 500GB Hard drive, with an 802.11n access point, and Lithum Ion battery pack. You can see more details on this device here - legitreviews.com The interface is so intuitive that I never had to to look at the instructions to get up and running. This device is truly plug and play, great work Seagate! There are several things I liked about the Seagat GoFlex Satellite especially its very intuitive easy to use interface that auto categorized my content. I also appreciated that I did not have to load any software to access the GoFlex Satellite and that it worked on any wireless device that supports 802.11 connectivity. Finally, a 500 GB hard drive provides a ton of space to host your own personal multimedia cloud service. There were a few things about the Seagate GoFlex Satellite that could be improved but the good news is these can all be address with a firmware upgrade that I hear is already in the works. The first is the lack of support for playlists for your music files. This seems a bit counter intuitive for a device sporting 500GB considering how much music the GoFlex Satellite can hold. The second one is the inability to act as a wireless bridge instead of a stand alone AP which means you have to give up your internet connection while streaming from this device. For movie watching this is no big deal, but for music or documents the ability to listen to your 250GB music ...

Kingston Wi-Drive 32GB Unboxing and Video Review
Kingston Wi-Drive 32GB Unboxing and Video Review Video Clips. Duration : 5.93 Mins.
Read the whole article here: www.legitreviews.com Kingston has been in the memory game for a very long time and is well known as the makers of high reliability top quality DIMMs. In fact in 2011 they were ranked as the world's number-one memory module manufacturer for the third-party memory market with 46% market share. But I bet what you didn't know they do more than just make great DIMMs. The Kingston USB Wi-Drive is a sleek sexy package about the size of an iPhone 3, but slightly slimmer, that allows you to have your own battery powered wireless flash storage system wherever you go. Even better you can share this storage with two other friends for a total of three devices connected at a time, all streaming the same or different content. Imagine all three of you watching that cool movie each on your own device with the added bonus of still being able to surf the Internet. How did Kingston pull that off? With one of the best features of the Wi-drive! Simply point it at any available wireless access point and it will associate and then bridge the connection through the Wi-Drive. This allows you and your buddies to surf the web while listening to your 32GB music collection which works out to about 6000 MP3's or more than enough for a long road trip on the team bus.

bwone.com Twitter: twitter.com Facebook: facebook.com The HTC Thunderbolt is the first 4G LTE phone on Verizon's network. Here is there review. "Review Unit Provided by Verizon for Independent Review" Hardware & Design The HTC Thunderbolt comes in a similar hardware design that we have seen on many HTC devices. You get a 4.3 inch screen with a 480 x 800 resolution. There is touch sensitive standard android buttons below the screen and a front facing 1.3 megapixel camera on the top front. On the back you have a 8.0 megapixel rear facing camera with LED flash and 720p HD video recording. The camera is good with a very cool and easy to use camera application that we did a full review of in a separate post here. Internally the device has a 2nd generation 1.0 ghz snapdragon processor with Android 2.2.1 with HTC Sense UI as the software. For storage it comes with 8 GB of internal memory and Verizon included at 32 GB SD card in our unit here and to round-up specs it comes with a 1400 mAH battery, mobile hotspot capable and has the 4G LTE connection available for super fast data speeds. With all that packed into one device you would think it would be shaped and be as heavy as a brick. But actually its very comfortable in the hand with decent weight. It's not the lightest phone by far but isn't going to tear a hole in your pocket. HTC is known for high quality hardware and the Thunderbolt keeps that standard going. My Book Live Read/Write Speed Test
My Book Live Read/Write Speed Test Video Clips. Duration : 8.27 Mins.
BigNate84.com - In this video I'll show you some actual read speeds of the Western Digital My Book Live home network drive. In order to experience optimal read/write speeds you'll need to have a Gigabit network. The router used in this video only supports Megabit speeds, so the transfer speeds end up being well below spec. I know some people say it's not a "fair" test and I agree with them. Hopefully this will serve to inform people of the speed difference between megabit and gigabit network devices. With a megabit network your transfer speeds will be slower than a USB drive. However with a gigabit netwrok you can get actual read write speeds of up to 80 MBps. MBL 3TB: amzn.to I'll be comparing it to a Maxtor Personal Storage 3100 USB 2.0 external drive just for fun. When I set out to create this video I did not realize my network was such a bottle neck. The WD MBL is really a great product. You'll just need to have a gigabit network to experience faster read/write speeds. To get the most out of a network drive you'll need to do your home work and make sure your router and/or switch can support the speeds you want to achieve. HP: 2008 Is The Year of Connected TVs
HP: 2008 Is The Year of Connected TVs Video Clips. Duration : 4.62 Mins.
www.uberpulse.com I was last night at HP's SmartHome in Cupertino where the PC division was hosting a pre-CES NDA briefing reception. Of course, I can't say anything about the new devices I've seen there but what I can say is that 2008 will be the year of connected TVs for HP. Either connected to the home network or directly to the Internet. Also, seeing this house in the middle of HP's deserted parking lot had a bizarre feeling of "deja-vu": HP brought this home after CES 2005 from the Las Vegas convention centre parking lot. During the evening I had a chance to chat with Carlos Montalvo (pictured), the marketing vice-president of HP's Managed Home business, and a former Apple Quicktime exec. Which made the conversation suddendly all the more interesting when I compared HP's connected home with the Apple TV. "Apple TV is bad TV. It's a closed system and there is little content for it. Besides, it's a push system: you have to download the content and then push it to the Apple TV. With our Connected TVs, you pull the content from wherever it is, your PC, your network storage or the Internet. You have the choice", said Carlos Montalvo. www.uberpulse.com
www.uberpulse.com I was last night at HP's SmartHome in Cupertino where the PC division was hosting a pre-CES NDA briefing reception. Of course, I can't say anything about the new devices I've seen there but what I can say is that 2008 will be the year of connected TVs for HP. Either connected to the home network or directly to the Internet. As the name implies this is a 4G capable handset on the T-Mobile HSPA+ network. The Radar 4G is a Windows Phone 7.5 mango device,; meaning its running the latest version of Microsoft's mobile OS that has some very cool features with deep Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn integration. The HTC Radar sports a 3.8-inch touchscreen with 480×800 resolution, powered by a 1Ghz processor with 512MB Ram and 8GB of Internal Storage. The HTC Radar 4G is a 14.4Mbps device on the T-Mobile network. 5-megapixel camera with F2.2 lens, LED flash, and BSI sensor (for better low-light captures). Front camera: VGA front camera. HD video recording: 720p HD. First off this is a well built device with a nice slim unibody design, that HTC has made famous with a lot of their devices. The lower part of the device does have a slight lip that gives it a distinct design difference. As mentioned earlier it does have a 5-megapixel camera with a f2./2 camera with LED Flash, which should allow you to take some clear and sharp pic.(Good to see HTC make the F/2.2 lens standard on all their devices. The HTC Radar 4G comes with 8GB of on board storage that is not expandable via microSD, but within the system it shows up as 6GB in total Camera The Radar 4G has a 5- megapixel ...

VIVOTEK Megapixel Surveillance Tube. Duration : 4.08 Mins.
VIVOTEK Megapixel Surveillance ■ Wide Coverage 2-megapixel network camera can cover an area 6 times larger than a conventional VGA network camera, resulting in significantly reduced installation costs. ■ Exceptional Details A megapixel camera provides superior image quality compared to a standard resolution camera. Thus, it can offer sufficient details for applications that require accurate identification such as a vehicle license plate. ■ Cropping Users can crop unnecessary information and simply transmit video of the target region of the camera view for viewing or storage, so bandwidth resources and storage space can be used more efficiently. ■ ePTZ Users can quickly move to a target area for close-up shots by clicking on the camera video feed on their screen. Because only the image of the target region is transmitted, bandwidth requirements are significantly reduced. ■ Multiple Streams Each video stream can be delivered simultaneously in different resolutions, frame rate, and image quality to various types of devices giving users more flexibility for dealing with camera images on multiple platforms. ■ Activity Adaptive Streaming The function allocates bandwidth dynamics. During normal monitoring, the frame rate is set low to reduce bandwidth consumption. When motion is detected, the frame rate will increase to allow for smooth and high quality video feeds. ■ On-board storage Traditionally, images are stored in back-end devices, resulting in high storage ...

HTC Sensation 4G Review| Booredatwork Video Clips. Duration : 6.12 Mins.
booredatwork.com Twitter: twitter.com Facebook: www.facebook.com Empireavenue: www.empireavenue.com The Sensation 4G is what you called a high powered Android smartphone on the T-Mobile network. When HTC announced the Sensation 4G back in June, we all drooled at the possibilities of the device might have to offer. 3 moths later with device in hand and drooling faded, lets' see what this baby got. A 4.3 inch qHD Super LCD display with the resolution of 960 x 540, running a Qualcomm Snapdragon 1.2 GHz dual core processor with 768 MB of RAM. An 8 MP rear Camera that records at 1080p and a front facing camera for video chat. The Sensation 4G comes with 8GB of internal storage, and runs Android 2.2 with Sense 3.0 overlay from HTC. Prior to the review, I received an update to Android 2.3.4; which added some improvements to the whole operating system. The Sensation 4G is one fast devices, you experience little to no slow downs. I tested the devices with the current update to Android 2.3.4, which adds video chat over Google talk, on the Sensation 4G. There was also a noticeable improvement on battery performances, with battery life last up to 8hrs on a full charge Conclusion The Sensation 4G from HTC is a device you can go wrong with; from its glorious 4.3" qHD screen to it well round 8MP camera that records at 1080p. The Sensation 4G has a lot going for it, granted it is a premier Android device. Yes there are still set backs to this high powered offense you see here, though not ...

Verizon iPhone 4 Design Review
Verizon iPhone 4 Design Review Tube. Duration : 6.17 Mins.
TheRecoveringBanker.com | Nic Coventry | The Recovering Banker This is my version of the Design Review of the iPhone 4 (Verizon CDMA Version), and I know that everybody and their brother has done a review of this, but I had to do it. I love this phone so much, and I've been personally waiting since last summer for the iPhone 4 to come to Verizon, and I made a video about this, back in the summer, and I was right. Anyway, the Verizon iPhone 4, which is identical to the AT&T Version of the iPhone, is almost like a piece of artwork, its so impressive to hold, and the fact that Apple made it out of Glass, is so fricking cool, who does that. Who would ever think to make a Phone out a glass on the front and back? Only Apple would... -- The iPhone 4 officially launched on the Verizon network last Thursday, however in-store crowds were much smaller than expected. According to The Dallas Morning News, AT&T passed along a note from Hudson Square Research analyst Daniel Ernst who surveyed 131 iPhone buyers in line at stores early in the day. Ernst wrote that the longest line he saw had 35 people. Ernst's unofficial survey included stores in Arizona, New York, Maryland, Pennsylvania and Tennessee. He found that 70 percent of in store buyers were current Verizon customers, and only 11 percent were AT&T customers making the switch. "It is commonly agreed that Verizon's network has a greater coverage area as well as less dropped calls," SMU senior Michael Todd said. "I came to the same ...

I also used to have the problem that on DVD format, sometimes the disc extras offered in one region were much better than those offered in another region or sometimes the disc I wanted, was simply not available in region 2 at all.. Yes, Terry Jones:'Medieval Lives' NTSC DVD only, I am looking at you.. so I wanted to avoid that issue when I upgraded to a Blu-ray player.Naturally, I was extremely pleased to come across this version of the LG BD640, since it is supplied already multi-region adapted for both Blu-ray and DVD.I have tested DVDs from regions 1 & 2 (PAL & NTSC) with no problems.. I have not had the opportunity to test discs from other DVD regions or Blu-rays from outside region 2 however another Amazon reviewer (the LG BD630.. but the only difference between the two models appears to be that the BD640 model has a wireless 'dongle' for internet connectivity, while the BD630 requires an ethernet cable connection to your router) indicates there should be no problems with other regions either.Although the region of DVD discs is automatically recognised, you do have to manually select Blu-ray disc regions however this is very easy to do.It is worth noting that these players have a US plug (two flat ...

HTC Radar 4G Unboxing & First Impressions Video Clips. Duration : 5.08 Mins.
booredatwork.com Twitter: twitter.com Facebook: www.facebook.com Google+: plus.google.com Empireavenue: www.empireavenue.com Yesterday we gave you a hands-on of the HTC Radar 4G on the T-Mobile Network. The HTC Radar 4G comes with 8GB of on board storage that is not expandable via microSD, which is a complete bummer(Really HTC, I would like to transfer my photos from my mytouch 4G Slide). Overall I like the feel of the HTC Radar 4G, It is a solidly built device and a nice addition to the Windows Phone family on T-Mobile. enjoy our unboxing and stay tuned for our full review

#HITB2012KUL D1T2 - Wes Brown - Supercomputing, Malware and Correlation Video Clips. Duration : 48.78 Mins.
PRESENTATION MATERIALS: conference.hitb.org PRESENTATION ABSTRACT: For more than two years, ThreatGRID has been building a threat intelligence service where samples and content are cross-indexed and related. This allows for tremendous amounts of derived analysis, building relationships based on timing, behavioral, structural, and communications characteristics. We are able to determine origin, aims, and targets of specific samples via second and third order relationships. We track all artifacts and beheaviors, both host and network, and correlate between any of them. Content is generated through dynamic and static malware analysis. We do perform de-duplication of samples that are collected in the wild and submitted through various sources. Even though a piece of malware can be identified as belonging to a particular family of rootkit or dropper, their characteristics change and evolve over time. These ephemeral behavioral characteristics are vital to identifying relationships between malware, and this is content that we don't want to miss. We've been submitting and analyzing a sample for about a year now, tracking how its functionality, content and relationships have changed over time. This approach of not deduping submissions leads to some interesting issues related to scaling, storage and infrastructure design. This talk covers the infrastructure requirements and architectural decisions made to facilitate being able to analyze the entire worldwide output of malware ...

Video review of Fonera 2.0n, the best value WiFi router, NAS and home server
Video review of Fonera 2.0n, the best value WiFi router, NAS and home server Video Clips. Duration : 14.52 Mins.
I am a big fan of FON. It enables you to have free access to a million WiFi hotspots in the world in exchange for sharing your own WiFi at home with your neighbors. FON routers broadcast 2 WiFi signals, one is a personal WPA-password protected WiFi SSID and the other is the open WiFi SSID for sharing your Internet connection using the FON DNS authentication login page so people are not able to do illegal things anonymously on your WiFi. This newest Fonera 2.0n router is much more than just a WiFi router. It now comes with a powerful embedded processor and a USB host connector so that you can connect USB hard drives, USB dongles, USB printers/webcams and other USB peripherals directly to your router using a USB 2.0 hub and thus have those peripherals always connected to your home local network as well as to the whole Internet. Fonera 2.0n lets you install certain applications developed open-source such as a BitTorrent downloader based on Transmission, Youtube/Picasa/Flickr/Facebook video and picture uploaders, Rapidshare/Megaupload downloaders or just run FTP, Samba, Upnp file servers locally on your local network or remotely over the Internet so you can stream all your multimedia files from any other WiFi hotspot that you may access all over the Web. The use that I am wanting to have with my new Fonera 2.0n is to constantly have access to Terrabytes of my personal multimedia files from all over the world, any of which streamed using my 2mbit/s or faster home Internet ...

What is ZigBee?
What is ZigBee? Tube. Duration : 2.80 Mins.
What is ZigBee?ZigBee is a technology of data transfer in wireless networks. It has low energy consumption and is designed for multi-channel control systems, alarm systems, and lighting control. It also has other various home and industry applications. ZigBee is more economical than Wi-Fi while Bluetooth protocol also consumes more energy and has a greater scattering of parameters of conventionally compatible units. This is caused by the fact that Bluetooth does not have a unified data transfer standard. Still that does not mean that ZigBee is oriented towards autonomous use. Key links of ZigBee networks, such as a network coordinator and routers, are not designed to work from regular or storage batteries. Experts explain economical features of ZigBee not by lack of access of external power supply sources. They note that home automatic devices are becoming more complicated as sometimes as much as a hundred sensors and executive devices are required. Thus such components can consume the same or even bigger amounts of energy as compared with the controlled devices.A smart-house system like that, which uses Wi-Fi, would require several kilowatts of power while ZigBee protocol would need less than 200 watts. Besides, ZigBee has a unified standard of data transfer. Thus all devices of the protocol can interact. ZigBee ensures that networks remain operable in the conditions of a constantly changing quality between communication nodes. ZigBee standard defines a multilayer ...

2012 City of Zhenjiang - China and IBM Collaborate to Build a Smarter City Tube. Duration : 1.98 Mins.
ZHENJIANG FACT SHEET By 2020 the Asia-Pacific smart city technology market will be worth .5 billion annually - a cumulative investment of over billion between 2010 and 2020, according to Pike Research. China represents the largest single market in Asia for smart city technology, roughly 30% of the total opportunity. Consider the staggering facts: • By 2025, seven of the world's top ten megacities will be in Asia and two-thirds of China's population—an estimated 64%—will live in cities. • Currently, more than one hundred cities in China plan to build smart cities, an effective combination of information technology and advanced concepts of city operation in which the government will use digital network management to provide more convenient and efficient public administration services. • The number of cars in China, now 25 million, is growing 25% a year, creating a traffic crises. New roads and expressways across China can't be built fast enough to keep up with the growth. • By some estimates China is building more public transit systems than all other nations combined. And yet still, that won't be enough. As part of the city's "Smarter Zhenjiang, Smarter Tourism" project, IBM is helping to transform the city's public transportation system with the IBM Intelligent Operations Center (IOC) -- a solution that will serve as the central point of command for the city. A key component of the Smarter Zhenjiang project is a bus scheduling system which will help increase the ...

The technology enables Tankvision to make tank walls truly transparent for authorised users without any increased cost per access point. Users can access real-time information about any tank from anywhere in the world. All that is required is a computer, web-browser and Internet access. They can even group tanks from different parts of the world to obtain a view of the worldwide stock of a specific product. The system also enables users to request a variety of inventory reports including trending. Since its introduction two years ago, approximately 1000 Tankvision Workstation Systems have been installed worldwide, keeping an eye on more than 5000 tanks. Tankvision is a far cry from the often imprecise, labour-intensive gauging devices that TIPER was ...
